Beyond the Button: Story Time! In-Person
Happy Spring, Families!
Celebrating elements and friendship, join us for a group walk from the Family Center to Penn's Split Button for a special Story Time in the library!
Located in front of the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, "the Split Button represents the Schuylkill [River]. It divides the button into four parts—for William Penn's original Philadelphia squares" (read more here). Our journey will continue as we venture inside Van Pelt to learn more about the resources offered to Penn Card holders (like you!), and to view the recently added collection of diversity award-winning children’s books.
Many of the new selections were featured in the GSE’s Best Books for Young Readers lists, which is also highlighted among the social justice resources on the Family Center's website.
Our visit concludes with Story Time led by a Van Pelt librarian!
